recipe:
peanut butter balls 
energy balls

ingredients:

 

1-1/2 cups ground raw almonds

1/2 cup organic salted peanuts or unsalted (if unsalted add 1 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt)

1/4 cup chia seeds

5 pitted organic Madjool dates

5 tbsp organic smooth peanut butter

 

Blend all ingredients until fully combined. Make 1 inch round balls, squishing the ingredients together until firm (it will stick together). Place balls in airtight container in fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months). 

 

makes: 15 balls

recipe:
blueberry lemon balls

ingredients:

 

1 cup ground raw almonds

1/2 cup dried blueberries

1/4 cup chia seeds

zest of one lemon (small to medium in size)

6 pitted organic Madjool Dates

 

toppings:

sprinkle of desiccated coconut (optional)

 

Blend all ingredients until fully combined. Make 1 inch round balls, squishing the ingredients together until firm (it will stick together). Sprinkle coconut immediately after forming ball, pressing lightly, until coconut sticks. Place balls in airtight container in fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months).

 

makes: 8 balls

recipe:
roasted chickpeas 
chickpeas

ingredients:

 

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed well (opt for no added salt)

1 1/2 tbsp olive oil

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tsp parsley 

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp sweet paprika

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp dried chives

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F

In a large bowl combine chickpeas, oil and spices. Mix throughly until chickpeas are evenly coated. Spread chickpeas in an even layer on a parchment lined baking tray. Roast chickpeas slowly, mixing occasionally to ensure they cook evenly. Oven times vary, but approx 40 mins. Chickpeas will be golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Serve as an addition to meals or eat as a snack!

SPOOKY maple pecan balls
energy balls

ingredients:

 

1 1/2 cup ground raw almonds

1/2 cup pecan pieces

5 pitted organic Madjool dates

1/4 cup chia seeds

2 tbsp and 1 tsp of pure maple syrup

1/8 cup coconut sugar

1 tbsp activated charcoal (optional for spooky colour)

Blend all ingredients until fully combined. Make 1 inch round balls, squishing the ingredients together until firm (it will stick together). Place balls in airtight container in fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months).

chocolate caramel pecan "Turtles" balls

ingredients:

 

2 cups ground raw almonds

3/4 cup pecan pieces

1/2 cup chia seeds

1/4 cup coconut sugar

1 cup dark chocolate pieces (1/4 cup reserved)

8 pitted organic Madjool dates

1/2 cup "caramel" sauce (click here for recipe)

Blend all ingredients until fully combined. Make 1 inch round balls, squishing the ingredients together until firm (it will stick together). Melt 1/4 cup reserved chocolate in a double boiler. Using a spoon, loosely drizzle chocolate over balls. Place balls in airtight container in fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months).

vanilla bean matcha balls

ingredients:

 

1 1/2 cups ground raw almonds

1/4 cup chia seeds

1 vanilla bean

1 tsp good quality vanilla extract

5 pitted organic Madjool dates

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tbsp organic matcha powder

Blend all ingredients, except matcha powder, until fully combined. Make 1 inch round balls, squishing the ingredients together until firm (it will stick together). Roll balls individually in remaining matcha powder, until lightly coated, patting excess off. Place balls in airtight container in fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months).

1 cup ground raw almonds

1 cup ground raw walnuts

1/4 cup chia seeds

1/4 cup raw cacao nibs

8 pitted organic Madjool dates

1/2 cup dried tart cherries

 1/4 cup 72% dark chocolate (or % of your choice)

Blend all ingredients until fully combined in food processor. Make 1 inch round balls, squishing the ingredients together until firm. It should stick together with the warmth of your hands, if not add 1 extra date at a time, blending, until mixture holds. Melt dark chocolate in a double boiler (bowl over boiling water pot). Using a spoon, loosely drizzle chocolate over balls. Place balls in airtight container in fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months).
