recipe:
peppermint mocha smoothie

ingredients:

 

2 frozen bananas (cut into chunks)

1 tbsp raw cacao powder

1 tsp pure peppermint extract

1 cup chocolate coconut milk

 

toppings:

3 tbsp plain coconut yogurt

sprinkle of raw cacao nibs

 

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Top with layer of coconut yogurt and raw cacao nibs.

 

Serve and enjoy!

recipe:
pineapple-mint-cucumber-coco icy

refreshing icy juice

 

ingredients:

 

1 pineapple (cut one slice and save for garnish)

1 medium cucumber

1 cup coconut water

1 cup ice

1 lime

fresh spearmint leaves to taste

 

Roughly chop pineapple and cucumber, then juice through your juicer. 

In a blender combine mint, coconut water, juice from lime, ice and juice. Blend until ice is slushy. 

 

Garnish with remaining pineapple, serve and enjoy!

ingredients:

 

1 beet

2 apples (macintosh or pink lady are my favs)

2 celery stalks

1 inch fresh ginger

1 medium to large carrot (or 2 small carrots)

1/2 lemon

 

Roughly chop all ingredients, except for the lemon. Juice all ingredients in your juicer. Squeeze in the juice of 1/2 a lemon.

 

Serve and enjoy!

pumpkin spice smoothie

ingredients:

 

2 bananas

4 tbsp pure pumpkin purée 

3 medium or 4 small Madjool dates, pitted

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp ground nutmeg

1 tsp ground ginger

1 tbsp coconut sugar

almond milk (fill to desired smoothie consistency)

optional toppings:

raw cacao nibs

raw pumpkin seeds

Combine all ingredients in a blender (or Nutri Ninja type equipment) and blend until mixture is smooth and has desired consistency. 

Transfer smoothie to glass and top with toppings (optional). 

Enjoy this seasonal favourite!
